Well-known children’s entertainer Tomfoolery has been holding Charity Tuesday parties for the last year, where he has given £120 to the children’s hospice for every booking made.

The result is that £5,430 has been raised in a year, which includes money from a special party for adults to boost the total.

Tom Hunter, aka Tomfoolery, who is based in Upper Beeding, said he was delighted with the sum raised.

“Places like Chestnut Tree House rely on people volunteering or giving up their time in some way to keep them going.

“I wanted to do something and I felt this was the best way to give my time each week. I’ve really enjoyed it and it’s an amazing feeling to have raised so much money. Here’s to another year.”

The funds raised by Tom will not be allocated to any specific project.

Caroline Roberts-Quigley, community fundraiser for Chestnut Tree House, said: “We are so grateful for Tomfoolery’s support in this special way.

“We want to thank him for choosing us to benefit from his Charity Tuesdays, which has resulted in him donating proceeds totalling £5,430 over the last year.”

“We totally rely on individuals and businesses in Sussex and south east Hampshire to raise funds, in order for us to continue providing our essential services to children with life-shortening conditions living in our local communities.”

Tomfoolery is continuing his Charity Tuesday children’s parties, in aid of the children’s hospice.
