Exit the A259 at the ‘Kettle of Fish’ roundabout on to the A268 which is part of the town’s gyratory system. The diverted traffic will remain on the A268 until the juncture with the B2089, where it leaves the gyratory system into the Udimore Road (B2089). Diverted traffic will then remain on the B2089 until the junction with the A28 at Broad Oak Brede where it will enter the A28 south bound towards the A21 at Hastings. At the A21 junction it will turn south towards Hastings for a short distance, passing under the A2100 bridge. After the bridge it will turn west into Junction Road where it will travel for a short distance before meeting the A2100. Here it will enter the west bound A2100 and travel towards the B2092 where it will enter the south bound B2092 retuning to the A259 at Bulverhythe.

Eastbound motorists are advised to follow the hollow black triangle diversion symbols on road signs. Exit at Glyne Gap and travel east towards Hastings and the B2092 where it will exit the A259 northwards into the B2092. After this it travels the reverse order of the eastbound route.
