A272 closure: Two fire crews attend crash between car and van

The fire service was called to a crash between a car and a van on the A272.

A spokesman for West Sussex Fire & Rescue Service said crews from Billingshurst and Horsham were mobilised to the scene.

He added: “We were called to reports of a road traffic collision on the A272 between Wisborough Green and Billingshurst at 3.38pm.

“Paramedics from SECAmb were also in attendance, and the road was closed to allow firefighters and paramedics to work safely.

“The last crew left the scene at 4.19pm.”

The road is still reported as being shut, according to the AA.
