Four injured in Duncton Hill crash

Police are appealing for witnesses after four people were injured in a crash between two cars yesterday morning (Thursday October 27) on Duncton Hill.

West Sussex fire fighters were called in to rescue four people who were trapped in their cars.

A teenage driver was taken to St Richards hospital for treatment and his teenage male passenger was airlifted to the Royal Sussex County Hospital suffering from serious, but not life threatening, injuries.

An elderly couple from Chichester who were in the second car, suffered minor injuries and were both taken to St Richards Hospital.

A police spokesman said a Ford Focus driven by the teenager from Surrey is thought to have lost control and collided with a Renault Clio, carrying the elderly couple, coming in the opposite direction.

The road was closed for over two hours.
