Henfield woman seriously injured in collision

A Henfield woman was seriously injured on Saturday (October 4) in a traffic accident.

Police are appealing for witnesses following the collision in Saddlescombe Road between Brighton and Poynings.

A red Toyota Yaris and a green Jaguar XF were involved.

The Toyota driver, a 37-year-old woman from Henfield, suffered serious head injuries and was airlifted to St George’s Hospital, Tooting, London, by the Kent, Surrey and Sussex air ambulance. She remains in a critical condition.

The Jaguar was driven by a 52-year-old man from Milton Keynes, who was accompanied by his wife, 50, and son, 24.

The woman suffered chest injuries and the two men slight injuries. They were treated at the Royal Sussex County Hospital, Brighton.
