Police plea as drivers queue for McDonald’s along A27 in Chichester

PC Tom Van Der Wee said this was ‘dangerous’ and blocked the roundabout, urging people to instead return later or eat somewhere else.

He wrote on Twitter: “Hungry people of Chichester: If the McDonalds drive through is full, please don’t form a queue on the A27 as it’s dangerous and blocks the roundabout.

“Utilise some common sense, come back later or go and get food from elsewhere. There are plenty of other options!”

The drive-through restaurant in Portfield Way is located right off the Portfield Roundabout and is open 24 hours.
