UPDATE: Slinfold woman in serious condition in hospital after collision

The 22-year-old woman, from Slinfold, suffered ‘a number of fractures’ and a head injury in the accident, a Sussex Police spokesperson said.

A spokesperson for South East Coast Ambulance Service said the woman suffered possible pelvic injuries.

Police, paramedics and the air ambulance were called to the scene, on the A281 at Bucks Green, at about 8.10pm.

The woman was involved in a collision with a Mazda, driven by a 29-year-old man, from which she had been dropped off, the police spokesperson added.

She was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton, where she remains in a serious condition.
