TRAVEL NEWS: Severe disruption on rail services

Train passengers heading to or from Brighton Station are being told to expect delays of up to half an hour this morning (Saturday, April 23).

Due to a signalling problem and subsequent points failure, platforms six, seven and eight are currently blocked at Brighton Station.

This is causing delays of up to half an hour on services arriving and departing from the station, and some services may be cancelled.

Brighton & Hove buses are accepting rail tickets on any reasonable route. Ticket acceptance has been granted on both Southern and Thameslink services.
