A pioneering song festival will have a spectacular finale at Bignor Park tomorrow and Sunday (October 3 and 4)
‘Town to Earth’ presented by Creatives Across Sussex brings song and voices into the countryside and the audience will be free to wander through Bignor Park where there will be ‘creative surprises’.
Last performed in 2012 as ‘Whispering Woods’ to sell out audiences ‘Town to Earth’ aims to give audiences a unique experience of the South Downs against a soundtrack of live a cappella song.
There will also be stunning light installations and a fire garden.
The performance will begin just as the sun sets and visitors are asked to arrive by 6.15pm for a 6.35pm start. The musical programme will include world premieres of specially commissioned pieces by composers Ned Bigham - alias Lord Mersey who owns Bignor Park - as well as Daemonia Nymphe, Juliet Russell, Rebecca Askew and Emily Barden.
Some 120 singers will perform together and in smaller choirs in the gardens and woodlands of Bignor Park.
