PETWORTH Twinning Association have been hosting a visit of 19 guests from its twin village in Normandy, Ranville.
Last Saturday they explored Brighton and then their Petworth hosts took them to Langhams Brewery at Lodsworth.
Many of the group also enjoyed a visit to the Petworth Club where local singer Nigel Scutt sang songs from the 50s, 60s and 70s.
On Sunday some visitors walked in Petworth Park and others explored Petworth’s shops, and then all went to Loxwood for lunch at the Onslow Arms and a canal trip.
In the evening the group went to the Fittleworth home of twinning committee member Graham Martin and his wife Penny.
Petworth Twinning Association members have already been invited to Ranville for the 70th anniversary of D-Day celebrations next year.
“None of this could take place without time and effort of volunteers and hosts who help,” said one of the organising team, Janet Duncton. “We have made many special friends over the years.”
