UPDATE: A27 now fully reopened after fatal collision

The A27 has now fully reopened after this morning’s incident in which a pedestrian died.

The incident happened at around today (January 22) at 7.25am, three miles west of the Fishbourne roundabout, on the Emsworth to Chichester stretch and involved a male pedestrian who died at the scene. He was hit by a lorry.

Police closed the roads in both directions for a time, but reopened the westbound carriageway this morning.

The accident involved a male pedestrian who sadly died at the scene and a lorry.

Now the eastbound carriageway, on which the incident happened, has been fully reopened.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident.
