UPDATE: Chichester bus station re-opens after gas leak


Chichester bus station has re-opened this morning after an earlier gas leak.

The bus station at Southgate in Chichester was closed today (October 2) after a gas leak.

Hannah Brett from the gas distribution company SGN said: “We were called to Chichester bus station this morning after a member of the public reported a smell of gas just after 7am.

“They had done the right thing and called the National Gas Emergency number on 0800 111 999.

“Our engineers attended quickly and made the situation safe.

“The bus station has now reopened and we have left site.”
