UPDATE: Woman seriously assaulted in North Bersted

POLICE have launched an investigation after a woman was seriously assaulted in North Bersted.

Police attend an incident in Newtown Road, Bognor Regis

The victim was attacked in the early hours of this morning (Tuesday, July 2) in Chichester Road.

Officers have closed off the alleyway which runs from Tesco Express store in Chichester Road to Central Avenue while investigations continue following the incident which happened at 3am.

The victim who was taken to hospital and is being treated for her injuries.
