Vacant Felpham store given new lease of life

New life has been given to a vacant shop in Felpham three years since its last customer.

The Transvac@Home store replaces the former Alldays outlet on the A259 Flansham Lane.

Transvac managing directors Russell Alderton and Ben Channell were presented at the opening ceremony.

The ceremonial ribbon was cut by local resident Kate Allen, who recently received the MBE for her tireless voluntary work, as well as Bognor Regis Chamber of Commerce vice chairman Peter Wells.

The arrival of the new store has been welcomed by nearby residents who had become alarmed at the continued presence of an empty shop on their doorsteps.

It now sells tools, hardware, electrical goods, pet food, garden tools and seeds, greeting cards and cleaning equipment.

Bognor-based Transvac also provides a wide range of security services such as intruder alarms, CCTV, automated gates and garage door systems and key cutting.
