Valuable statue stolenfrom Fairlight home

The sculpture, which depicts a bronze ring with two figures sitting on top, was stolen from a property at Battery Hill between Saturday June 7 and Saturday June 21.

It is approximately 1.5m high and 1.5m wide.

The sculpture was taken from the back terrace of the property.

Any witness or anyone with information is asked to call 101 or email [email protected] quoting serial 299 of 22/6. Alternatively, call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Police have issued a warning for people to step up security at sheds and outbuildings following a spate of recent thefts in the area.
