VIDEO: A-level joy for Littlehampton Academy students

STUDENTS at The Littlehampton Academy have this morning (Thursday, August 15) been celebrating one of the school’s best set of A-Level results.

This year’s overall pass rate at A-level was the best in the school’s history, with 100 per cent of sixth-formers passing their exams for the first time, beating last year’s impressive 99 per cent.

The level of students reaching the top grades of A* to B was also good, with 42 per cent hitting the bench mark figure – down marginally from last year’s record of 48 per cent.

Principal Steve Jewell explained this was the academy’s second-best overall result behind last year’s record-breaking grades.

He said: “We’re delighted with this year’s results.

“Congratulations to students and staff on the 100 per cent pass rate.

“It is wonderful that hard work has been rewarded with so many good grades and university places.”
