VIDEO: Bumper crowds turn out for Horsham Pancake Race

Spectators flocked to Horsham town centre this afternoon (Tuesday February 17) to watch the seventh annual Horsham Pancake Race.

With children’s TV presenter Dave Benson-Phillips as race commentator, the competition pitted 32 teams made up of local businesses and charities against one another.

After a dramatic final, Santander were announced as the champions of the event.

The video above shows action from the heat involving the eventual champions, the County Times’ team Shrove Newsday, and teams from Spofforths and Hamptons International.

The popular race is organised by The Rotary Club of Horsham in partnership with Horsham District Council, and raises money for a number of charities.
