MORE than 1,000 people attended this year’s Dog Fun Day at Woolbeding Parkland.
The day brought together owners and their dogs of all different shapes and sizes for a variety of competitions.
National Trust ranger Fiona Scully said: “The turnout was really impressive and it was truly a fun day.
“This is the event’s third year and it’s run with great community spirit.
“The aim is to celebrate our dogs, and look at a few of the basic dos and don’ts of being responsible in the countryside, especially where there’s livestock in fields or ground-nesting birds.
“A massive thanks goes to the South Downs National Park, and all other participants who made this event possible.”
“It’s great fun,” added Chichester vet Kate Williams who was victorious with her dogs Cale, two, who came third in the best trick competition, and Lana, ten, who came second in the prettiest bitch class.
