THE annual draw for the Gold Cup at Cowdray Park took place at the stylish boutique of new sponsors, luxury watchmakers Jaeger-LeCoultre, in London’s Old Bond Street.
Among the guests were Lord and Lady Cowdray, the Marchioness of Milford-Haven, an Ambassador for Jaeger-LeCoultre, the Hon Charles and Lila Pearson and representatives of all 14 teams taking part. Matchplay opens on June 23 with the Carlos Gracida Memorial Trophy in memory of the 10 goal Mexican player who died in a polo accident in 2014. The Midhurst Town Cup will be played on June 28. Matches take place daily through to the Quarter Finals weekend on July 11. See www.cowdraypolo.co.uk for details of times and grounds.
