RESIDENTS in Tillington no longer have to suffer without water.
Southern Water is replacing a 1km section of water main, which burst on several occasions, leaving customers without water.
Work started on Tuesday and should be completed by the end of February.
It will begin on a section of the old A-road near Halfway Bridge, then head east on to the A272, taking up to seven weeks.
In January, the work will continue along the A272.
Project manager Peter Simmons said: “We aim to finish as quickly as possible, keeping disruption to a minimum.”
