West Meads group starts coffee sessions

A weekly Coffee Time is being started in West Meads.

Members and friends from the Aldwick Free Church (Baptist) are organising the sessions from April 17.

They will take place between 10am and noon at West Meads Community Hall in The Precinct.

The sessions will be informal. Those who attend will be able to come and go as they want.

There will be no charge but donations will be given to the Friends of Bognor Regis War Memorial Hospital.

Coffee Time's launch follows the success of the weekly Coffee Pot events which the church has run since June 2004 at the Aldwick Parish Council offices.

A host of regular attendees enjoy their chat and cup of coffee or tea. Several large donations have been given to good causes from this venture.

Church minister the Rev Paul Kerley said: 'The church sees these projects as very important within these two local communities.

'Through these two projects, along with others organised by the church such as toddlers' groups and a lunch club, we are seeking to meet some of the needs of local people and enhance community togetherness.'
