PUPILS at Midhurst Rother College ended the Christmas term with a combination of traditional and whacky Christmas festivities.
Each year group attended a student led carol service, led by The Rev Dave Willis atthe parish church.
The last day of term, was declared ‘Christmas Jumper Day’ when students were greeted by brightly dressed and sparkling staff and sixth formers who collected items of food for delivery to the Midhurst Food Bank.
Teacher Zoe Brixey said: “We planned to transport the food in a couple of trolleys, by foot. By break time it was obvious even just one minibus wasn’t going to do the trick. This has been a testament to the fantastic community spirit we have here, along with the hard work head girl, Jen Welsman and head boy, Styn Oomen have put into coordinating everything.”
Sixth Form also staged their own version of ‘Cinderella’.
Principal, Dr Joe Vitagliano said, ““In an extremely busy last week Midhurst Rother College demonstrated many qualities including valuing of tradition, social conscience and its sense of fun, with staff and students wearing Christmas jumpers and taking part in a hilarious pantomime.”
