Who's been dumping old windows at beauty spot?

They are hoping that someone who has had their windows replaced recently might be able to identify the lorry-load of old glazing dumped in the High Woods.

PC Charlotte Williams asks of Observer readers: "Did you recently have your windows replaced? If so, are these your old windows?"

High Woods Preservation Society, the charity which manages the woods as a wildlife habitat with free public access on behalf of Rother, is enlisting the aid of the council in removing the offending heap of rubbish.

Now PC Williams is hoping that a public-spirited Bexhillian will loan the society CCTV equipment so that a security watch can be kept on the isolated car park.
