WEST Sussex Fire and Rescue Service was called out to help a woman who was trapped in her car after a two car crash on the A286.
The woman was rescued by the service when firefighters arrived at the Hollist Lane junction with the A286 at around 9.20am yesterday morning.
She was assessed by paramedics and taken to hospital by ambulance.
The police also attended the scene to control traffic.
The rescue service was also called to a large fire on scrubland in Bexley Hill, Lodsworth at around 5.30pm on the same day.
Engines from Midhurst and Haslemere and a water carrier from Littlehampton were called to the scene, and left nearly two hours later.
