A PETWORTH resident is taking a more charitable approach to drinking coffee, helping raise a massive £15m in the process.
Fundraiser Tracy Turland and her team are taking part in the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Tracy said: “This is the ninth year we have taken part in the coffee morning, raising over £9,000 in that time for Macmillan.
We all know someone who has been affected by cancer and this is our way of giving something back.
“There will be a raffle and tombola as well as a cake stall, locally-grown produce and refreshments.
“We also have fully-trained reflexologists providing free treatments.”
Macmillan’s fundraising manager for Sussex, Steph Georgalakis said: “We want to make sure no-one has to face cancer alone, but we can’t do it without the amazing people who fundraise for us so we are extremely grateful to Tracy and her team of helpers.”
The event is being held in the historic Leconfield Hall, Petworth, on September 28 from 9am.
