Wrong trousers for children’s charity

STAFF at Marriott House and Lodge Care Home in Chichester donned pyjamas, shorts, jodhpurs and leggings in support of national Wrong Trousers Day on Friday, June 29.

Wrong Trousers Day is a fundraising effort for the Wallace & Gromit’s Children’s Charity to help support children in hospitals and hospices throughout the UK.

Staff at the care home were ‘fined’ a pound for dressing in the wrong trousers.

In total, £25 was raised for the charity.

Theresa Shell, general manager at Marriott House and Lodge care home, said: “We are always keen to take part in any charity fundraising events, and knowing how much the staff love to dress up, this event was ideal for us.”

“It’s for such an important cause, and we are very glad to be able to do our bit to raise further awareness and money.”
