Youngsters have huff n' puff fun

The bag contained a special textured ball, cones and a bean bag. The best way to get the maximum benefit from the items was shown to the children's parents at a launch session at Nyewood Infant School in Brent Road held by advanced skills teacher Rachel Mackinney.

Ms Mackinney also outlined the benefits of playing as a family to a child's physical and academic development.

The children and adults have seven weeks in which to practise their activities before a fun day is held at the Arena sports centre where they can show off their new skills.

This year's project involves pupils from Nyewood, Rose Green and The Glade infant schools as well as younger children who are at Little Acorns and Stepping Stones.
