Changes are trying

BUILDINGS of special interest, conservation area... is this a joke? You can paint your house bright yellow, knock down a garden wall, drop the kerb, turn your front garden into a car park; planning permission applied for? No. Another resident was refused. Were the neighbours consulted? No. Were they happy? No is an understatement.

Can you replace a piece of rotting corrugated iron? No, it has to be patched up with fibreglass or something similar.

Is it safe to drive from the front garden, just feet from a blind corner? When the Highways department was contacted, they were asked for a copy of the risk assessment. One was not done before the drop kerb was allowed.

At least two people asked for this.
