I AM Sitting at Pagham Harbour where peace and tranquillity add to the beauty.
It is the opposite to our visit to Selsey.
I was greeted by a filthy car park at Budgens, which obviously had not been cleaned for some time, and was further amazed when I went to The Riviera for a meal, which many people had said was an excellent place to stop for a meal.
The parade of shops it sits in has a rotten canopy, great big potholes, was dirty, with walls and steps falling down and with overgrown grass.
Our visit was not helped by my wife tripping up on the ‘dodgy’ step.
I was amazed at the lack of care and presentation in what is a holiday area.
Perhaps tourism is not welcome?
It was so different to our walks along the harbour to Church Norton and on to the lifeboat station – it was clean and cared for.
A broom, weedkiller and a bit of maintenance, Selsey!
