These Home Counties pubs have been named among the best in the UK

If you want to know the best places to go in the UK then the National Pub and Bar Awards have just announced the 94 county winning pubs - and 12 of them are in the Home Counties.

They include The Bell in Studham, Bedfordshire, The Alford Arms in Hertfordshire, The Pointer in Buckinghamshire and Gomshall Mill in Surrey.

The winners are judged on overall retail excellence, best practice and individual entrepreneurship.

As well as 15 regional winners, the overall National Pub & Bar of the Year will be announced at a red carpet event in London on 23 May.
