Nostalgia: The story of Shippam's

AN ILLUSTRATED presentation and film show at West Sussex Record Office on Tuesday, May 28, will showcase the history of Shippam's, one of Chichester's most successful and best loved businesses '“ and it will also provide attendees with the chance to sample some of its famous pastes, by way of a Shippam's tea.

The presentation will reveal how the business was originally established and then developed rapidly during the 20th century to become a nationally-recognised brand.

And the film show will offer footage of the factory at East Walls and some of Shippam’s innovative promotional films and advertisements.

The evening will start at 6.30pm and a Shippam’s tea – consisting of Shippam’s paste sandwiches and light refreshments – will provided at the interval.
