Athletics: Tone Zoners tot up top times

Six members competed at the Lunar-Tic night-time marathon in Shoreham. A challenging course was made even harder by the fact that it was run at night, requiring concentration and perseverance.

Ian Culton completed it in 5.21.13 in his 101st marathon, earning him a coveted place in the 100 marathon club.

The Harting ten-mile saw 15 Tone Zoners race and proved difficult in the heat.

A very hilly and challenging course saw Chris Gallagher came in first for the club in 1.16 and Gallagher has been running well this season and there’s more to come from him.

A very popular race saw many struggles for position and even completion on one of the hottest days of the year so far.

The Brighton Trailblazer was run by Sam Yates and Peter Chittenden. Meanwhile, the Highdown Hike was run by Mark Warwick, Sam Yates and Cheryl Laing and Tony Hancock run the Lakeside 5k in 21.55
