Members of CYC will be on the tand throughout the weekend to promote Chichester Harbour as a sailing area and CYC as a great sailing club.

A number of the UK’s top sailors will be at the show doing talks and running coaching sessions.

The focus of the 2016 Dinghy Show is this year’s Olympics in Rio. There will be a talk giving the latest news on Team GB’s preparation for the Rio Games.

Other talks include top tips from local sailor Steve Cockerill, aka The Boat Whisperer. He will be presenting a talk demonstrating how some boats sail faster than others because of better technique.

Cockerill is currently competing in Chichester Yacht Club’s Open Snowflake series sailing a 2000 with his wife Sarah.

The Dinghy Show is also an opportunity for sailors to meet those from other clubs from around the UK, check out the wide range of dinghies on display, and consider what they wish to sail.
