Under-13 Fleur Hollyer lowered her PB to 9.26sec with a great win in her heat of the 60m – going on to finish a creditable fifth in the final. She also recorded a season’s best 3.20m in the long jump.

Alyssa White (under-17), in only her second long-jump competition, put together an impressive series of leaps, sailing out to a wonderful new 5.15m PB, to lead throughout - only to be nudged into the silver-medal position on the last jump of the competition.

A timetable clash meant having to cope with juggling between the long jump and the 60m sprints.

However, she comfortably won her heat, stopping the clock at 8.05sec, before going on to secure silver in the final.

Sophie-Anne Haigh (under-20) continued where she left off the previous week in Sheffield, with another fine display of 60m sprinting.

The final saw her pipped to gold by the smallest of margins - just 0.01sec – taking the silver in a great new PB of 7.86sec.
