College must go to Eastbourne for final
WORTHING COLLEGE football team are in their Sussex Under-18 Schools Final.
They defeated William Parker 3-1 last week (see this week's Herald for report and pictures) and travel to Eastbourne Town FC tomorrow (Thursday) to meet Beacon of Crowborough in a 7.15pm kick-off.
Team manager Dave Hall said: "I'm really disappointed that it is being played so far away as this is the biggest game the college has had in years and I would have liked to have had a big crowd getting behind the players. But on the other hand it may work in our favour, with not the pressure of a big crowd we can hopefully relax and play our football."
