Common blow up Bridge

LITTLE Common wrapped up a comfortable victory against Robertsbridge in division four of the East Sussex League on Saturday.

Inserting the hosts into bat, P. Horne (4-34) and Keith Baldwin (4-13) made full use of the conditions aided by some fine catching, notably from Ally Burnett.

At 41-8 Robertsbridge were in dire straits, but a stand of 60 between N. Copping (49) and A. Hughes (22) helped them past the century with hope of gaining some bowling points.

That hope was soon dismissed as Peter Winchester and J. Rahmari blunted the new ball before hitting out to reach the target by the 35th over.

Both men remained undefeated with Winchester hitting 29 and Rahmari 57.

Common are away to Crowhurst Park II on Saturday, with Russell Eldridge and Steve Lucent likely to return whilst Mark Wisden is out injured.
