Bexhill lie fourth in the Sussex Premier League with three matches remaining - 26 points behind third-placed Preston Nomads.

“We’re still looking at a top three finish,” said first team coach Ian Cox. “The three games we’ve got, we won all three of the reverse fixtures.

“We’re taking nothing for granted, but you would like to think we could finish with a couple of wins and get into double figures in the wins column.”

Bexhill will seek to put a stop to back-to-back defeats against Nomads and Roffey when they travel to seventh-placed Cuckfield tomorrow (Saturday).

“We’ve had a couple of tough weeks,” Cox continued. “We’ve not performed particularly badly, but just not to a great level. Another 40 runs and it’s a different game. We’ll keep working hard, but it’s all improvements from last year.”

Callum Guest is unavailable and there are question marks over Luke Youngs, while Ashar Zaidi may well be playing for Sussex.

Josh Beeslee, Liam Bryant and Jamie Wicks could come into the reckoning for a game which Cox believes Bexhill should win if they perform well.
