Daisy and Katie make a splash for their counties

Two young swimmers are celebrating county honours.

Daisy Seymour won the overall 12-year age-group title at the Surrey county championships held over three weekends.

The Midhurst Rother College pupil won gold in 200m freestyle, 100m freestyle and 200m backstroke and took silver for 50m backstroke and the 200m individual medley.

Seymour also scooped bronze in 50m freestyle, 100m backstroke and 400m individual medley and was in the gold medal-winning relay team.

Her club Guildford City won the overall points trophy.

Seymour has now achieved all the south-east region qualification times.

Her sister Lily came eighth out of 76 swimmers in the 11-year-old age category despite missing a weekend through illness.

Meanwhile, Katie White from Bognor Swimming Club achieved wonderful things at the Sussex County Championships.

She scooped three gold, four silver and three bronze medals becoming county champion for ten-year-olds. She went on to win the Fina competition so is now ranked No1 in Sussex.
