Disabled athletes to compete

THE Olympos Burgess Hill leisure centre will stage the third annual Parallel Youth Games on Wednesday, June 11.

The disability-specific multi-sports event follows the Olympic model of having a stand-alone paralympic event.

It creates an opportunity for disabled athletes to show off their skills and receive the recognition that their efforts deserve.

The event brings more than 300 children from special schools across Sussex to compete in a variety of sports.
