Durrington take cup title

DURRINGTON High School Year 9 Football Team have emerged as School County Cup winners.

The final at Ringmer Football Club saw them face the daunting William Parker '“ a school with a strong football tradition '“ and at half-time the score was 0-0.

In the second half, Durrington were more relaxed on the ball and began to play the flowing football they are accustomed to.

At full time the score was 1-1 and Durrington's triumph came during extra time via an exquisite pass from Ryan Quirke to pick out Jonathon Watkins, who blasted home a left-foot volley to make it 2-1 to Durrington.
