Eastbourne's quick double sinks Wick

A LACKLUSTRE performance at Eastbourne United on Saturday has left Wick FC in the bottom three of Division 1.

The result means they have just three points from their six league games. They have a break from league action on Saturday, though, when they entertain Division 2 side, Lancing, in the FA Vase second qualifying round with 600 up for grabs.

Wick coach Jon Chalaye said: "Playing one of Sammy Donnelly's sides, it's going to be a battle. They have got some good players and a few older heads with Mark Burt and Lee Cox.

"The result could come down to who wants it the most on the day. Lancing lost 6-0 at Tooting in the FA Cup on Saturday but that can sometimes happen in cup games."
