It pulled the current champions out of a sticky predicament and left title-pretenders Arundel with just too much to do on Saturday.
On the slow, low wicket, Findon struggled to deal with opening bowlers Neil Mustard and Chris Wall and were at 72 for seven before Cox came to the crease to hit a flurry of boundaries.

Under the circumstances, that total looked an achievement when the visitors's response mirrored the Findon innings with the early order ripped out by bowlers James Iago and skipper Nigel Waller.
