Fontwell Park stages a seven-race fixture this afternoon.

The first race is off at 2.10pm while one of the feature contests is the Darren Crabb Wealth Management Supporting Babybuddy Handicap Hurdle at 4.20.

Entries included The King’s Assassin, a six-year-old gelding trained by Chris Gordon. The horse ran a nice race when third at Fontwell’s Ladies’ Evening a fortnight ago and was the only previous course and distance winner with an entry.

The £10 Free Bet At Handicap Chase at 4.50pm attracted entries including Crannaghmore Boy – a nine year-old gelding trained by Jim Best – who has winning form over this distance and won convincingly under AP McCoy last time out at Newton Abbott.

The Novice Hurdle for fillies and mares, timed for 3.15pm, has attracted entries from a number of top trainers such as Neil King and the powerful Jonjo O’Neill stable.

Gates open at midday and there is a two-for-one Paddock Enclosure ticket offer in today’s Observer. For more information on racedays at Fontwell Park, please visit
