Albion aiming to make it five without loss against Rovers

Having maintained their unbeaten start to the season in midweek, Albion will go into the home game against Blackburn Rovers full of confidence they can extend the run to five games in all competitions.

Albion came close to a fourth win in a row at Huddersfield on Tuesday night, but were happy to settle for a draw. It's been a positive week on and off the field for the club, with more additions to the squad being made. Jamie Murphy impressed when he came on for his debut off the bench at Huddersfield Town and the former Sheffield United winger will likely get his first run out at the Amex against Rovers.

The former Premier League champions have had a slow start to the campaign and it's not hard to pinpoint where their issues currently lie.

Two-thirds of their 65 league goals last season were scored by Rudy Gestede and Jordan Rhodes. With the former having moved to Aston Villa over the summer and the latter being sought by Middlesbrough, they may have to look elsewhere if the Scottish international departs before the end of the transfer window.

Rhodes is set to return to the Rovers squad after injury; another striker in a similar situation is Albion's Bobby Zamora. The 34-year-old was prevented from making an appearance for the under-21 side on Monday, due to a tight groin.

Fans have been eagerly anticipating the Albion legend's return. It would be a great moment if that happens at what is the last home game for three weeks. Although it does not look as if he will make it in time.
