Here are the reports...

Worthing Leisure 0 Bosham 2

SCFL division two

Marco Giambelardini netted for Bosham in injury time to see off a determined Worthing Leisure side making their debut in the SCFL this season.

They provided a stiff test for the league leaders who needed all their abilities to snare the result they wanted to extend their advantage at the top ahead of Sidlesham.

Bosham looked to test keeper James Everett early but the shot-stopper was up to the task and kept the Reds at bay.

Charlie Grey, up front for the hosts, looked dangerous and his pace was making Bosham work hard.

Sam Joyce, returning to the Robins to deputise for regular keeper Kieran Magee, dominated his area to frustrate Worthing.

Just after the quarter-hour, a set-piece at a corner was well-executed by Giambelardini and Alex Barnes and the delivery was only half cleared by the Worthing defence and Graeme Dowden drilled an effort into the bottom corner.

Next, Grey worked a great chance for the blue and blacks but with only keeper to beat fired over the bar.

After the break the Robins remained on top but the hosts continued to make life difficult.

The thought of Worthing snatching something grew larger in the mind and Bosham centre-half James Colinese was forced off with an ankle injury, allowing Jake Lafferty an opportunity to shine.

Lafferty had been on only a few minutes when he cut into the box and aimed a curling effort to the far corner but the shot went narrowly wide.

In the third minute of injury time, Giambelardini settled nerves by grabbing the crucial second. The striker finished with aplomb, thanks to a superb through-ball from Bradley Miles.

Bosham extend their lead at the top to five points.

Bosham: Joyce, Probee, Bulbeck, Gilbert, Colinese, Bell, Barnes, Miles, James, Giambelardini, Dowden. Subs: Emery, Lafferty, Mullen, Redman.

Alfold 1 Sidlesham 4

Div two

Sidlesham took their home form on the road to move into second spot.

With the pitch suiting their passing game it wasn’t long before they started to put the home side under pressure.

With Will Essai and Callum Dowdell full of running and the hold-up play of Tom Bayley helping the away side get the ball forward into dangerous positions, only the final shot or pass was missing.

The first goal soon arrived as Tom Jefkins and John Phillips combined to set up Dowdell, who lifted it over the goalkeeper.

Great passing and movementled to Bayley being left one on one with the goalkeeper and making it 2-0.

Sidlesham kept up the pressure with the occasional break from Alford being swept up by the impressive back four with Joe Leggatt in fine form and Tom Kelly in goal aquitting himself well.

The second half started as the first finished with Sidlesham dominating. But a breakaway from Alford resulted in a corner, from which Daniel Hallett pulled one back.

Only good defending and assured goalkeeping stopped Hallett adding a second.

Sidlesham got a deserved third with Bayley finishing after good work from the rampaging Toby Pointing and Essai.

Jefkins and Phillips went close while Dan Bassil, on for Bayley, hit the post – and Dowdell forced a good save.

Reece Colbourne, on for the industrious Dowdell, was brought down just outside the box and skipper Greg Robinson converted the free-kick over the wall.
