They were awarded a soft free-kick outside the area. Dan Evans fired goalwards and his effort ricocheted off a defender, wrongfooting Nathan Kohle, and nestled in the bottom corner.

Kieran Hartley shone bright down the flank for the Reds, but chances were still few and far between.

In the second half, Wanderers upped the tempo. The more Bosham pushed forward in search of an equaliser the more stretched they became at the back, and the inevitable happened late on when Matt Evans was on the end of another sweeping move to head in from close range.

Gary Rowland and Josh Rehill came on for a final push, but to no avail

BOSHAM: Kohle, Probee, Carrigher, Grantham, Blanshard, Miles, Hounsome, Hartley, Rehill, Phillips, Dowden. Subs: Rowland, Rehill, Evans.
