The Oaklands Park club, starting to plan for their second season in the Isthmian League south east division, hope to improve the pathway in place for youngsters to move from their under-18 team to the first team squad.

A manager has been appointed for the under-23 side and a new boss is in place for City's under-18s.

A club statement said: "The club are delighted to announce the appointment of new management teams for both the under-18 and under-23 teams for the forthcoming season.

"It has become a priority for the club to bridge the gap between the first team and the youth set-up, with the introduction of a team at under-23 level a step towards achieving this.

"We are keen to hear from potential players for either team and would also invite any potential volunteers who would be willing to help these teams progress get in touch."

The under-18s manager will be Gary Clarke ([email protected]) while the under-23s will be managed by Max Powell ([email protected]).
