Common beaten in 10-goal thriller
The result meant that Common missed the chance to go back to the top of Sussex County Football League Division Two and, in fact, they find themselves a place below Steyning in fourth.
Common, who were forced to field defender Zack McEniry in goal, got off to the worst possible start by conceding in the first minute, but a bizarre own goal brought level in the 24th minute.

In the same division, a controversial late penalty scored by Andy Tuckey condemned Bexhill United to a 1-0 loss away to Haywards Heath Town. Heath had earlier hit the crossbar in the first half and post in the second period.
