Bennett remains a key performer for Cook, yet has been singled out for criticism from some members of the Fratton faithful.

Webster has enjoyed an impressive campaign in his favoured position at the heart of the Pompey defence.

Having not started the season in the side, he has emerged as one of Cook’s best performers as the campaign has progressed.

As for Davies, the fans’ favourite will undoubtedly figure in the Player of the Season vote down the line.

For the moment, though, he polled 13 per cent in recognition of his January displays.

Finally, Marc McNulty, who scored twice in five matches last month, received 10 per cent of our readers’ votes.
