Located behind the Fratton end and North stand, the dugout also attracted a visit from Blues players Matt Tubbs, Danny Hollands, Adam May and Brandon Haunstrup.

The concept formed part of the Trust’s drive to recruit younger members to their ranks.

In the process, members of the Trust board were present to encourage those attending to sign up at a cost of £5 a year.

As a result, the event proved a winner, with more than 50 young supporters joining up on the spot to swell Trust numbers.

And club and Trust board member John Kimbell was delighted with the success of the event.

He said: ‘This was a chance to speak to younger Pompey supporters and explain to them what the Trust is all about.

‘What we can offer is a say in shaping some of the key decisions that will impact our club in the coming years.

‘Those we spoke to were very interested in the Trust, some had never before heard of us, and in total we signed at least 50 new members.

‘It is important the Trust is relevant to a broad range of Pompey supporters and we continue in our attempts to attract a younger element.

‘We also have a Trust open meeting taking place on March 14 and hope to see more new members attend.

‘It is a good opportunity for members to hear what is happening with the Trust at present and important we are transparent and communicate with the supporters.’

There are still tickets available for the Monday, March 14, event, which is to be held in Fratton Park’s Victory Lounge.
